Compression latches
A compression latch draws the door inward during the last part of its travel, compressing the seal evenly. That is what keeps dust and water out of an enclosure over years of vibration. The 012 and 013 series are the lever type; the 721 series are adjustable toggle (over-centre) latches for lids and covers.

Choosing a compression latche
- Long and short latch versions suit different door-to-frame offsets — check the drawing.
- Locking versions take a keyed-alike cylinder; non-locking versions have a plain lever.
- The 013 series is offered in two grip ranges (0–15 mm and 30–45 mm).
